No, by all means. Let's hear your brilliant theory on why I'm discussing a topic that was posted on a
discussion board.
Eric wrote:Just in case you didn't know: Dan Peterson is a relevant topic for this discussion board. Nepotism is an issue many people have with the Mormon Church. The Deseret News is owned by the Mormon Church. The Mormon Church is a relevant topic for this discussion board. Dan Peterson contributes to the Deseret News and works for the Mormon Church. Dan Peterson's son now contributes to the Deseret News. Some people could say that Jeffrey Peterson's writing skills are questionable at best. Nepotism in Mormonism is a relevant topic for this discussion board... Do I really need to explain this?
So, let me see if I understand the purpose of this thread:
(1) To accuse Dan Peterson of engaging in an act of nepotism by . . . what exactly? Getting his son some free-lance work writing articles about Yogi Bear for a small-time religious newspaper?
Wow.
Sinister.
(2) To highlight the fact that a news agency known for mediocrity in writing has yet another writer of the quality that we would expect from it writing occasional articles for them (but not even formally on their staff).
(3) To note that this newest writer happens to be related to someone who is relevant to Mormon studies.
Absolutely riveting.

Fair enough. In turn, allow me to be the first to congratulate you for exposing this disquieting behavior on the part of the
Deseret News and the Peterson family, and for calling our attention to this hypnotic turn of events. The Evil League of Evil will have to step more carefully with you on the prowl.
