Indeed...atheists do not hold the view that Christ is the LORD. I realize they don't recognize that He is the source of any hope and joy they may have. That is what I said.

I'm not following you on this.

As far as I know, atheists do not have hope in an afterlife, or the believe that they can live with God, or that they get a reward for good behavior, or that there is something more ahead.

So how does Christ offer hope if one does not believe in Christ and does not hope for that which believers in Christ offer?

Again, for what do you think atheists have hope?

~td~

Many things. Hope that their kids will turn out well. Hope that they get a new job. Hope that they can have faith in the human spirit, not literal spirit entity of course. I'm sure atheists find hope in many things, and that they sometimes differ among each other about what is hope for.

Where does this person live? Do you have his address so that we can verify his existence?

Where do you live? What's you address? I don't know if you really exist or not.

"Christ as Lord" is a Christian viewpoint, but that doesn't mean that atheists do not find the teachings of Jesus Christ, or Buddha, or others, of great value. I know that I do.

I just don't worship Jesus Christ as my "lord". I do recognize that the same inate and latent potential that was in Jesus Christ also lies within myself.

Jesus is my hope(as is any person who exemplifies the best of the human potential), but for a whole set of different reasons than the Christian who has externalized and diefied a human being and made him/her a God.

So, you don't have his address? Do you have his fingerprints? A photo? Swab of his saliva? How do you know he's real?

I might not be real, but then again no one is basing their whole lifestyle on the belief that I am. :)

How do you know I"m real? Why are you even responding to me considering you don't have my address, fingerprints, picture, saliva?

Well, someone is posting. I can look at your posts and see that they're real. I doubt your name is Stem though. :)

I certainly wouldn't worship you based on that. And yet you don't even have that level of evidence for your deity. Aren't you afraid that you're being scammed?
