Using this logic, asserting that there is no reason to believe that evidence will ever be found to support the idea that space aliens built the Egyptian pyramids is the equivalent of asserting that it's not possible to discover new things about Egypt.
One of the most enduring, and yet ridiculous, strawmen of Book of Mormon apologia. One of my personal favorites.

Horses have already been found, but discarded by Jr level archeologists because they "shouldn't be there" and "they were prob just there because of site contamination".
