Why go to a Mormon church instead of non-Mormon

I went to a non-Mormon church as a sincere attendee for the first time in my life. You know, as an apostate, there are TONS of "firsts". I highly recommend apostasy for this reason.

Anyway, I started thinking about tithing after the gold bowl got passed around in the chapel. I started wondering how much I would be willing to put in that bowl. Do I want to be a member of this church and never donate money to it? That would be tacky. It's a social club that really needs dues to survive.

A thought occurred to me! I have paid enough money to LDS to last the rest of my life. The money I paid is enough to cover lights, heating, admin staff, etc. I already paid my dues to the Mormon club. Why should I invest in a completely new club?!

Too bad I can't transfer my investment from Mormon to the new church.

The church I attended last week was what I call the 'COLA.'

COLA = Church of Old Liberal Agnostics (The Unitarian Universalists). There was a gay pride flag on the wall and a bottle of Mexican beer on the altar. I couldn't stop laughing.

I'll go back next Sunday.

But if all churches have some truth (the LDS just claim that they have more truth than anyone else), and they all worship the same god, perhaps that god will consider at least a partial transfer.

Just think, in the new one, if you donate they will likely be grateful, and may tell you so.

Perhaps, even, they won't threaten your status in the next life, or try to make you feel unworthy, if you don't.

They might even allow you to attend your child's wedding without your putting yourself in debt, or lying about what you believe!

That's got to be worth something.
