Jensen Out, Snow In as Church Historian

I just found out that Elder Marlin K. Jensen is being released as Church Historian. Elder Steven Snow will replace him. Another non-historian called to be the church historian.

I wonder if this will be good or bad in terms of access to the archives?

What do we know about Snow? Is he going to be cut from the same cloth as Leonard Arrington? Or Joseph Fielding Smith?

I wonder if people like Chris Smith will still be able to get in the doors at the Church History Library?

Jensen is reputed to be one of natures nice blokes. I hope God or Allah or whoever, blesses him for showing compassion to the victims of the Church's hate campaign against them.

Perhaps Snow will open up the archives?

From Facebook discussion today, I gather that people are expecting Snow to be similar. He's been described as an outspoken environmentalist and a democrat, so expect the apostasy of the Historian's office to continue : )
