The Casting of Stones after you are 'Saved'
Jesus says let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Which is a commandment or in other words a required work.
How do the Born-Agains accept Christ and expect to be saved without accepting christs gospel?
If I understand the Born-Again philosophy correctly to them all of the gospels are a buch of bunk save it be the part where Jesus says by grace alone are ye saved.
I do however understand the difference between the miracles Jesus performed as opposed to his instrucions.
So my question is how can ye be saved/accept Jesus if you don't follow his worldly instrucions?

Re: The Casting of Stones after you are 'Saved'
how do you explain a backsliding Christian?
- Never saved in the first place. Since we are predestined to heaven or hell, some who are destined to hell will still try to get saved and become Christians. But they aren't really saved, and in time, they prove this.
- It's possible to lose salvation. Some will say that you can get saved, but then fall from grace.
- It truly doesn't matter what you do after being saved as we are all sinners. As the bumper sticker goes, "Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven."
- Jonathan Edwards wrote on how to tell a saved person from a non-saved person. His method sort of skirts the problems of the above explanations because he gives lists of outward qualities, but in the end, the key qualities are "spiritual" qualities that can't be measured. So take a Christian we regard as "bad". Maybe this person really isn't saved, but then, we can't measure his spiritual qualities that in the end weigh against any earthly qualities.
ETA: you can't live "Jesus's instructions." But the Holy Spirit can enter your body and guide you like a vessel and do the good works for you.

Jesus doesn't say that anywhere.

Can't be done according to the scriptures, Bible included. Notice also that Paul, in Philippians 3:12-14, admits that even he is not saved yet.

No wonder you're an Atheist...
Free agency doesn't mean you are free to accept the predestine path God made for you. Free agency means God is always there for you and you are free to ask Gods help. If you don't need the help, you can choose not to ask.

Since only God knows who will make it to heaven or hell (or might take a detour through purgatory on the way to heaven), how can we presume to judge?
If the individual chooses to make ethical and God-pleasing decisions after spiritual awakening, that proves a genuine awakening. Some may have some difficulty doing so, if there are some bad habits that need to be broken, and bad friends to leave behind. Everyone is an individual.

Hi "Haters.."
I thought you wanted to understand how "born-again Christians" reconcile salvation through confession with the Bible's prescription for a life of good deeds.
I gave you some of the reasoning I've heard from born-again Christians. I don't understand how any of this has anything to do with my atheism. And I think you should thank me from saving you from some homework.

What part of the Bible is Saving by grace after accepting Jesus derived from?

They slip into a denial of psychology, and believe that being saved cures them of such problems as personality disorders and addictions. Denying them, they then refuse to overcome them, thus manifesting them in full flower. Yes, in the process they become blind to the rest of the New Testament.

Am I correct in thinking that, following the end of his athletic career he either renounced or apostasised from his religious belief?
