MsJack and Runtu: 2012 Brodie winners!
Congrats! Honoured to know you both.

+1

I suppose I'll have to eat my words, because I have taken an interest in the Brodies, and I'm glad to see that Runtu won in the "Best Book-Length Memoirs". My vote, obviously, pushed him over the line (wink). MDB placed fourth in the "Best Discussion Forum" category. What's a bit surprising is that "New Order Mormon" won this category. In the "Best faithful-perspective Mormon Blog", Joanna Brooks ("Ask Mormon Girl") won by a country mile. Her nearest rivals were not even in sight. John Dehlin's Mormon Stories podcast won "Best LDS-Interest Audio/Video Channel/Series", with Mormon Expression second.
So what does this all mean? I'm almost hesitant to register a verdict, but it seems to me that more, and more ex-Mormons, are avoiding "loss of faith" extremes, and in spite having lost faith, are looking for more temperate, or moderate and balanced interpretations of their religious past/upbringing, and this is particularly evident in the NOM phenomenon.
