Maher has called Palin a “dumb twat” and dropped the C-word in describing the former Alaska governor. He called Palin and Congresswoman Bachmann “boobs” and “two bimbos.” He said of the former vice-presidential candidate, “She is not a mean girl. She is a crazy girl with mean ideas.” He recently made a joke about Rick Santorum’s wife using a vibrator. Imagine now the same joke during the 2008 primary with Michelle Obama’s name in it, and tell me that he would still have a job. Maher said of a woman who was harassed while breast-feeding at an Applebee’s, “Don't show me your tits!” as though a woman feeding her child is trying to flash Maher. (Here’s a way to solve his problem: don’t stare at a strangers’ breasts). Then, his coup de grâce: “And by the way, there is a place where breasts and food do go together. It’s called Hooters!”

Former White House deputy press secretary Bill Burton, the man who runs Obama's super PAC, did not reply when asked if he will be returning Maher's $1 million donation.

While MSNBC recently battered talk-radio giant Rush Limbaugh for calling Sandra Fluke a “slut” and “prostitute,” the cable news channel apparently looked the other way when it hired Al Sharpton, now a primetime host of MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation,” after he spewed the terms “homos,” “crackers,” “Chinamen,” “punk f a g g o t” and the N-word freely.

On his March 5 “PoliticsNation” show on MSNBC, Sharpton ridiculed Limbaugh just as the talk-show host issued a second apology to Fluke “for using inappropriate words in a way I never do”:

“NEVER using inappropriate words? Is that a joke? … This is absolutely appalling. He tries to apologize and he manages to insult leftists. … I am flat-out not buying the excuse. … We still haven’t heard from the Republican leadership. Where are they? Where’s the outrage? Someone show some leadership! … The bottom line is this apology was bogus. He doesn’t sound like a guy who’s really, truly sorry. This is not good enough. He needs to be taken off the air!”

Or could it be that because Sharpton is black, liberals expect this behavior and give it a pass?

Limbaugh's apology was bogus. He apologized for using two words, "slut" and "prostitute." Those words grabbed the headlines, but they were not the real issue.

It was the three-day constant barrage, personally attacking a college student who has never held, and is not seeking, political office. He repeatedly made numerous outrageous claims, such as that she was having so much sex that she couldn't walk. Just this week he wondered on air how she could afford a trip to California for Spring Break if she needed help paying for pills.

Oddly, in her testimony, Ms. Fluke never referred to her own need or desire for birth control pills. She testified about friends who incurred health problems (one lost an ovary) because they couldn't afford the pills, which were prescribed to treat various ailments.

Particularly funny is how he obviously has no idea how birth control pills work, assuming that the more sex a woman has, the more pills she needs. "So much sex she can't afford the pills."

Sandra Fluke obviously has a good case for slander here.
