Interesting: Schryver an Anti-war Activist?

Post by _Carton »

Expecting to find some more idiocy written by William Schryver, I stopped by his blog a little while ago, and much to my surprise, I discovered that he posted something today that I actually agree with:

Masters of War

I wonder if Droopy and bcspace are going to disavow Schryver as one of their own?

I also doubt that Schryver is going to be called as a bishop or temple worker any time soon:

At any rate, I'm with Schryver on this issue. Our country has wasted trillions of dollars fighting stupid wars. Get out of Afghanistan ............. NOW!

No doubt his anti-war activism came about shortly after Obama took office.

You may be right, although, in his defense, I don't recall him ever posting right-wing nutcase stuff like Droopy and bcspace.

You would think that Mormons, in general, would all be anti-war. But even Romney is now trying to establish his war-fighting street cred: Romney promises world's strongest military.

Has anyone seen what Peterson's stance is on the USA being the world's policeman?

Schryver is a socialist. Dwight Eisenhower's military industrial complex speech was hippie talk.

I know a few of these types among my Mormon acquaintances. Tail end baby-boomers. Think they talked to God on LSD. Or LDS. Or something like that. Tend to be narcissistic and can't understand why no one else recognizes their superiority. Probably started growing his hair out after he was passed over for stake president. Now he hints to people that the only reason he isn't a general authority is because he's too "iconoclastic". Besides, he has a higher calling as the knight in shining armor who rides in to save the day for the Book of Abraham. Probably reminds people at church every week that he is so "special" that he was given access to the secret vault of the First Presidency!

It's kind of sad when you think about it. If not for his potty mouth online, he might still be riding the wave of his delusions.

My reaction upon discovering that someone was actually reading Schryver's blog for fun:

Droopy, bcspace, Nathan mordecia, obiwan, ahab, and so on, all placed in a room together would accuse each other of being liberal.

As for WS with his long hair and goatee he obviously is a pinko commie.

At least Schryver doesn't look as lurpy in this photo.

That I went back again after his facile and basically incoherent "I Have Faith in the Wind" post is the worst part.

I need to be subjected to some kind of aversion therapy. Like binding me hand and foot and having Droopy read the constitution out loud while simultaneously I'm being waterboarded by whyme and forced to listen to Schryver songs at 120 decibels (imagine a bad Tony Bennett impersonator singing Jim Nabors songs in a gay cowboy bar).

Hadn't ever heard that word before. Found it in the Urban Dictionary: lurpy
