Is Mormonism closer to Islam or Christanity

There is a article over at the Huffington post about this topic. I was thinking about this the other day and thought that the LDS gospel could be called Islam-lite.

Just for discussion, well and a touch of curiosity. What in the world does Mormonism and Islam have in common? They both have some respect for the Old Testament. They both would look back to Abraham.

I find it hard to think of two groups more unalike which share those roots.

Compare prayer, kneel on a rug with forehead to the floor, sit or stand head slightly bowed.

Concept of monotheism. As far apart as groups related to Abraham can get.
