DCP is a self proclaimed charter subscriber to Theweeklystandard, or some other right wing propaganda piece.
And no matter how wrong DCP is, anyone who dares challenge him is liberal scum.

Nobody has yet noticed this:
DId Dr Peterson "RUSH" over from Libertarian and "Limbaugh" himself into a conservative?
Let's just hope cigars are not in his future.
Conservatives like myself are acutely aware

Re: Dan Peterson's Stock goes down again
Ordinary communication requires that we do some reading between the lines and a bit of obvious extrapolating. it comes so naturally we don't even notice we are doing it. But given a strong enough desire to deceptively demonize a political enemy, apparently this natural process breaks down (or so it is pretended).
The presidents remarks are a conversational abbreviation for something like the following (and obviously so):
"If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive [you know, that capitalistic system!!!!]. Somebody invested in roads and bridges[ (the american people so invested in part through a little thing we call government)]. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that [road or bridge]. Somebody else made that [bridge or road or other facilitating circumstance] happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet."
Bold added to make the obvious clear to the daft.
Nothing else makes sense in context and everything he said is quite true!
It is a context that DCP did not give us while at the same moment claiming to do so.
But truth and proper context apparently mean little to Dr. Peterson.
Everyone in the media that is misusing this quote in the way Dr. Peterson so mimickingly does is being quite consciously deceptive.
It is completely clear what the president is saying and it is quite true! He was and is right in what he said. Governments are instituted for the benefit of men as we were told in sunday school.
PS. Also recall how we were once taught that we owe everything to God, even the life inside us and the air we breath? But let us not give thanks to teachers, public works, good luck, fortunate circumstances and especially not to God! GOP forbid.
Good job being a follower Dan my friend.

when believers want to give their claims more weight, they dress these claims up in scientific terms. When believers want to belittle atheism or secular humanism, they call it a "religion". -Beastie

I regard this as the conservative equivalent to Dems misusing Romney's "I like being able to fire people" quote. If you are at all familiar with DCP's politics - he's a fan of Ann Coulter for goodness sake - this shouldn't be surprising.

The only thing that surprises me, and causes me no small amount of regret, is that I wasted so much time on the garbage he writes. The political material has brought it all into such clear focus. I am ashamed of myself for bothering.

IMHO, DCP "indicates" this pretty much every time he puts pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard).

I want to add that this does not mean I hold all of Dr. Peterson's writing in such disregard, but much of his more ephemeral and informal posting history--the stuff I most took issue with and responded to--does fit in this category.

Some of Daniel Peterson's writing is as informed, critical and articulate as one might expect from someone of his degree of education and intelligence.
Similarly, there were some really comfortable cabins on the Hindenburg, and I hear the menu was quite extensive. But eventually all that became irrelevant:

That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.
