After eight years of planning and eight months of interplanetary travel, NASA's Mars Science Laboratory pulled off a touchdown of Super Bowl proportions, all by itself. It even sent pictures from the goal line.

The spacecraft plunged through Mars' atmosphere, fired up a rocket-powered platform and lowered the car-sized, 1-ton Curiosity rover to its landing spot in 96-mile-wide (154-kilometer-wide) Gale Crater. Then the platform flew off to its own crash landing, while Curiosity sent out a text message basically saying, "I made it!"

What is this weird nonsense about some Mormon Jesus? Sounds like some dopey thing.

It is hard to imagine the tower story having anything to do with science. I suspect it has to do with dangerous empires. Israel was a small area near dangerous expansionist empires which demanded taxes or tribute when they felt kindly.

Look, science is just a lot of theories, and scientists keep on changing their minds all the time. Real truth must be sought elsewhere, like in F&T meeting.

Why, in a few years scientists will change their minds again, and tell us that Curiosity didn't land on Mars at all. Then where will all you science worshipers be?
