Had either of my parents or any of my grandparents had the courage of Tom Phillips when I was 14 to 25 years of age, I would have had an opening in the Mormon suffocation that I experienced.
Had Tom been my father or grandfather, and went public with his questions and the fact that Holland could not proffer any thing that comes close to addressing or answering them, I would have been very grateful. I suppose that Tom is giving his grandchildren something to think about, whether he has the opportunity to talk to them or not.
Tom's thinking for himself example will benefit them. For this, he is giving them a gift, an opportunity to find the real truth about Mormonism.
I applaud Tom for what he is doing FOR his family.
