So, speaking of "Innocence of Muslims" and Mormons
The public US face of the inciteful video, Steve Klein, founded Couragous Christians United, which is now located in West Jordon, UT and specializes in "witnessing" at Mormon events.
CCU has quickly disassociated itself from Klein and the video.

The only thing of note here is the savage reaction Muslims have when their faith is denigrated and the hypocrisy of liberals who will denigrate any faith except Islam (because they're afraid of it).

I have been under circumstances where expressing any outspoken criticism of the tenets of Islam, or of cultural practices that ordinary people believe to be part of Islam, might have been physically risky. Under those circumstances I considered that staying alive (or at least at liberty and uninjured) was more of a priority than expressing my opinions. What, I wonder, would bcspace have done?
I don't see why having had that experience means I would be a hypocrite if I expressed criticisms of any religion under other circumstances, when that criticism would not involve risk to life, limb, or liberty.

Funny. As a native of Hancock County Illinois and a descendant of one of the men who marched on the Carthage jail on June 27, 1844, I spent 1/3 of my life fearing to say anything critical about Mormonism. To the point that I ended up cowering in a corner afraid to THINK anything critical of Mormonism.
Thanks for the consoling thought.I considered that staying at liberty and uninjured was more of a priority than expressing my opinions.

It was my impression that you were never a Mormon. So, why would you fear to say something critical of Mormonism?

You are right. It is perfectly okay to mock, bash, ridicule, and speak lowly of Mormonism. And call the Book of Mormon a fraud....but the koran...nope, they will not call it a fraud nor will they mock islam.
And then we have the temple ceremony on youtube something the Mormons consider to be sacred. However Mormons are not violent.

I am a liberal and I do not mock, bash, ridicule Mormonism or other religions. I am willing to state I do not believe the book or Mormon or doctrine and covenants to be true or to have authority. I view Islam similarly. Both Mormonism and Islam have some ideas I do not like. I think Islam approach to defectors is a larger malignancy than any idea I am aware of in Mormonism.
I have no desire to see a video of temple activities. I do not wish to participate.

Radical anti-Mormons choose to mock superficial aspects of Mormonism. I am much more concerned about the bigotry of radical Mormons.
