The Girl who Leapt through Time (Toki o Kakeru Shoujo)
Incredible. Just incredible. A diamond in the rough. Not the best animation but....A great intro to anime and sci fi, especially for teen girls (I have five girls and two boys). Very comparable to a Hayao Miyazaki. My 8th grade daughter actually found this and showed me. Seems like your average movie until about half way through when it takes your heart. This is a thinking and relationship type movie, not action (I enjoy both types).

A couple of unfortunate sexual references, otherwise clean.
No rating from me though IMDB gives it 7.8 out of 10. There are reasons why I would want to go higher ("diamond") and lower ("in the rough") at the same time. Can't decide. Will depend on your tastes of course.
