Knitting Projects

Post by _Yoda »

Blixa, I know, knits, and I think there are a few others here who enjoy knitting.

At any rate, any of you fellow knitters out there, I found a really fun website for free patterns, and am in the process of starting three new projects. (Yes, I am that ADD...LOL)

Here is the website:

Here are the three projects I am doing:

Mini Monkey:

I have always wanted to make a stuffed animal, and have always loved these. My younger daughter used to call them "monk monks".

This is a sweater for my son:

And this is a laptop case:

I'm going yarn shopping tonight after work.

very cool, Liz!
Oh for shame, how the mortals put the blame on us gods, for they say evils come from us, but it is they, rather, who by their own recklessness win sorrow beyond what is given... Zeus (1178 BC)

Two best online knitting sources I know. I've not been knitting for a while now, though, and at this point I only use vintage/antique needles, vintage/deadstock yarn and pattern books from the 30's and 40's (mostly from Minervia yarns). It's a real headache because everything has to be resized, but I seem to like to make problems for myself. : )

I am working on the mini monkey today. Instead of brown, I am making my mini monk pink! I will take a picture and show it to you gys once it's done. The only thing that is rather difficult is that the needles are small, 2.75 mm. I am not used to working with such small stitches. My last several projects have been sweaters.
