What Happens with "Legally and Lawfully Married" Now?

Two Missionaries fall in love while serving, they come home and date and then after a year get Married civilly.

A year passes and they want to get Married in the Temple. Legally and Lawfully Married, can this Gay couple go to the Temple and why not?

Oh and during the Year of Waiting, they have had Temple Recommends and have been celibate throughout the waiting period.

Further, to prove the celibacy, one of the couple has been deployed to a war zone and not been home for the entire year.

Unfortunately for them, this is true, because here are the consequences of such conduct unless deep "sackcloth and ashes" repentance is in the offing:

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind. (1 Corinthians 6:9)

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18).

Yea, they are grasped with death, and hell; and death, and hell, and the devil, and all that have been seized therewith must stand before the throne of God, and be judged according to their works, from whence they must go into the place prepared for them, even a lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment (2 Nephi 28:23).

And the angel spake unto me, saying: Behold the fountain of filthy water which thy father saw; yea, even the river of which he spake; and the depths thereof are the depths of hell (1 Nephi 12:16).
