However, I believe that Part of the reason for this is that there have been a lot of Baby Boomers retiring over the last few years.

Yep.... That's not the "real" unemployment rate..... Nearly all those jobs are PART TIME, for which people can't sustain themselves on. It's also exactly part of what we were warning of, that Obamacare would create more part time jobs, thus making the situation actually worse.

It doesn't seem like temp agencies will have much trouble finding a way around Obamacare and continuing to provide employers with employees they can get rid of on a whim and pay no health benefits. I know I sure didn't qualify for Medicaid or any of those freebies when I was being exploited by the temp agency.

But the democrats are for the working man they say? I guess that's why they exempt big business and big government from the Obamacare mandate and seek to impose it on the rest of us.

The labor force participation rate has fluctuated inside of 60 and 70% for the entire time it has been measured, which stems back into at least the 50's. Decreases off of its modern peak are primarily a function of our incarceration rate, baby boomer retirements, and general unemployment problems.

There is nothing the Obama Administration has done to help employment. Everything it has done has caused greater pressure against employment. The economy improves on it's own because it is still too big and there is still too much free market for the Dems to destroy all in one day. Would be better all around if the Dems were out of power but the promise of freebies is too much for the liberal infantilized public.

Why spend $100k in higher education costs if you don't plan on working to earn that money back?

With all the women entering the workforce since the 50s, there sure must be a lot of people choosing not to work for other reasons to balance that out.

People don't necessarily choose not to work. Some people are retired. Some are stay at home parents. Some are in prison. Some are disabled. Some are actively seeking employment but cannot find it. Some are independently wealthy.
