Sorry guys.... Don't buy this. Had to return it because of the wireless continually disconnecting, tried everything to fix, it's a known issue, even though I knew it, I took the chance and lost....

Not worth the time and effort... Now have to wait 2 weeks for refund to buy hopefully a better one I found. Sorry guys.....

I currently have an Acer Aspire for 5 years now, and it's been nice to me.
Hopefully I can get this one before it goes out of stock.... (just got it)

The way NewEgg goes good deals are there and are gone.) This ones actually better over-all really than the other anyway.

p.s. Never buy a 14 inch Laptop.... Text is too small, and even adjusted the screen is too small in general. 15+ is a must.

Depending on which you get, you'll save anywhere from $250-$550 or so. Most are in the 4-500 range.
The one I got I saved around $550, the Y410p third one up.
You have two options:

There are 3 "basic" differences other than price between these models.
The first one has a 14.0" HD+ Glossy LED Backlit 1600x900, i.e. 900p.

The second one has a 15.6" FHD LED Glossy Wedge 1920x1080, i.e. 1080p.
The second one also on it's HIGHEST Model, you can get DUEL Graphics Cards. (For the price, it's a great deal), but I would have preferred the Blu-Ray of the other.

Note also that the "cheapest" versions of these laptops have a lower Screen Display compared to the above/higher ones which is a better display. Also, the "Highest" version of the First you get a Blue-Ray Player. The Highest of the second they took up the DVD drive space with the extra graphics card, so that's good and bad. Personally, if you're that serious of a "gamer", get a desktop or a more powerful laptop if they have them with both, not sure on that.

Anyway, get one while you can..... You only have today to get one.....
The third one up on the first is the best deal I believe, with an SSD drive, and you can always upgrade the DVD drive to Blu-ray later. I've heard it might not be so easy to upgrade to SSD due to the size of the drive.

P.S. Tax is around $60 depending on which you get I'm guessing, that's what mine was.
Also, for anyone that knows computer spec's, for my $869 one, you're normally looking at anywhere from $1,200 usually on sale, normally around $1,300-1,500. One thing I'm not sure of is if I'll like the 14" screen, but others seem to not care much, so it might be okay. But, I'll be happy to be able to use a browser again. With the newer browser's my computer can't handle all the processes.

by the way, I spent 2 days going through the various computer sites trying to find the best deals, most bang for ones buck, and I found a few that were "okay", but nothing really thrilling, and most were at the most maybe 15-20% off, and their features weren't really there either.

Then, as I was about to give up, I came upon this site: http://www.techbargains.com

They find and get the deals for you.... That's where I ended up finding these deals. 41% off....!!! How can you beat that, under a $1,000 and less for a HIGH END computer???

Ya, that's one reason I got into that two day search, I went to NewEgg because MaximumPC had posted a daily deal by NewEgg that was kinda nice, but a bit "low" for a system for me still.

I then went on a 1-2 day search trying to find deals with something close to what I most wanted. Eventually found what I was looking for through the Tech Bargains website. But ya, NewEgg has some good stuff sometimes.

by the way, it had been years, but I also checked out TigerDirect and they seem to suck now as far as deals, and they used to have a "cooler" site design I believe. (you know "Tiger", raaaa raaaa haaaa haaa) But, maybe it's simply because of more experience. Do you remember "PriceWatch"??? Used to love it, but it sucks now also. They really need to redesign it, make it more user friendly, searchable, and goodness, get with the 20th Century, with even a "basic" website design structure.

No, it's just that usually when people make posts like this it's because someone has hijacked their account and are trying to get people to follow a bad link to give their computers viruses. That sort of thing. Glad to know that you got a good deal on a laptop, though.

I'm actually in the market for a real cheap laptop for an exchange student. Perhaps an i3 for around $350. Are they all the same at this price or can I get a good deal? I usually buy in the $2000 price range.
