The first lady took to Twitter on Monday to comment on Michael Sam, the all-American college player who announced Sunday that he is gay. Mrs. Obama says she "couldn't be prouder" of Sam's courage, both on and off the field.

either way, the real story is that should Michael Sam not get the "offer" he desires he can now play the "gay" card...because the race card cannot be played in the draft (unless you are asian?)...nevertheless, this otherwise non-news story is more media propaganda...its not like this player is the Rosa Parks of gays...because there is no Rosa Park of gays....because they do not suffer any more or any less than everyone else.
As a PR/Agent stunt to negotiate a better deal...its a pathetic move....but the marketability of such a move will soon bear the "fruity" of its bitter and shallow roots....the demise of the political power for the LGBT is on the horizon.

Even though Tebow is out of the NFL, he still managed to land a Super Bowl Commercial.

Being a Christian certainly didn't appear impact his endorsement opportunities when he was playing. Given Tebow's actual on-the-field performance, I'd say he did pretty well for himself.

As for 'demanding he keep his Christianity in the closet', I would point to the career of Billie Jean KIng, who did keep her sexual orientation in the closet until she was outed in a palimony suite. It cost her millions of dollars in sponsorships.

Christianity is a belief. Homosexuality is not a belief. Michael Sam is not gay because he grew up in a gay family. If being gay were so easy in America, Michael Sam would not be the 'first' gay NFL prospect. Suggesting that Americans are less tolerant of Christian religious beliefs than homosexuality doesn't hold up under scrutiny.

because the rule is heterosexuality...the exception is homosexuality. Would not the appropriate answer have been "no, i do not have one"?
Instead it became a platform for his discrimination lawsuit when he does not get the deal or special locker room treatment.

the Supreme Court has determined that Religion (i.e. Christianity) is a protected class - tantamount to other immutable conditions like gender and race.....being sexually perverse is not.
