In this classic FAIR photo, Will’s brow is scrunched and his countenance looks scholarly, erudite, serious, and ponderous. And, I’ve always thought that his FAIR photo looks like actor Tom Selleck:

Now, however, Will is sporting a very different look. While his brow is still scrunched and his eyes sharply focused with just a hint of impatience for everyone’s tomfoolery, Will’s goatee is now streaked with distinguished grey. His hair, which once was neatly cropped and styled like a Paul Mitchell ad, is now long and earthy. You can see the new look at Will’s website, http://imetatron.blogspot.com/2012/08/t ... ormon.html.
I have to say, I like the new look. If it weren't for my profession, I’d be inclined to grow it long, too. When I look at Will’s new photo, I see a man who is confident, rugged, well-read, and fiercely independent. I see a man of faith, of loyalty. I see a man in tune with nature, with the Earth, and with the cosmos. I see a man who probably enjoys a good steak now and again, and a man who just might keep a bottle of Jack Daniels hidden away in a cupboard somewhere. I see a man who’s forgotten more about the Kirtland Egyptian Papers than I’ll ever even know.

In closing, here are some other photos of famous people who, in their later years, sort of went “native”.

Lyndon B. Johnson

Orson Welles

Jim Morrison
