I would agree with Kevin Graham that it's rolling along as intended because the intent was to subvert the health care system and put everyone on welfare.

Not in the way Republicans would want, of course not. They want to go back to the free market way of allowing insurance companies decide who lives and dies according to the size of their wallets. The fact is Obamacare has saved countless lives just over the past year. That number will undoubtedly skyrocket as time passes, and more and more people enroll after they realize all the gloom and doom predictions from Right Wing idiots were bogus.

Ya, that's what you said in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and now you think six times is the charm? How many times do you have to get it wrong before you lose credibility? Are you on the Dick Morris sliding scale?

The fact is, with more people covered, you have a healthier population, which through time will naturally drive health care costs down, along with premiums. It just burns you up that your much aligned nemesis is going to get so much credit for doing so much good for the country, as a result of his law in the coming years.

bc, maybe you have not been purchasing health care insurance/coverage for the past few decades but I have, and I can tell you that premium increases have occurred virtually every year on my own policies since the late 80's, and that includes more than a few years with increases of 10 - 30%.

If you want to avoid just sounding silly or like a partisan hack, you could instead try to add some substance to your rant by referring us to a graph or table that shows how insurance premiums have been virtually flat for several decades until the implementation of Obamacare.

Again, not to press the obvious, but how would it work, exactly, to 'put everyone on welfare' and what would be the purpose of such a thing?

My own anecdotal experience. In the years before Obamacare, my insurance premiums increased every year -- sometimes as much as 50%. Since Obamacare, they have been flat or have decreased. This year, my policy was not renewed because it didn't meet the requirements of the ACA. I just got my options for replacement. The policy that is comparable to my current one is slightly less than my current policy. I'm going to upgrade my coverage for a modest increase.
