Essentially, Huntsman's $1.5b to charity is at a cost of $12m per year loss to the LDS coffers. I'd call Huntsman's the gift that keeps on giving.
Sock, good point I hadn't thought of it this way but that is why I always enjoy and value your contributions or at least 10% of them .

There are two truths that are discovered by the Article.
1st. Huntsman not only feels that the Mormon church is MOST CERTAINLY NOT a charitable organization, but if it were to be extended the title of a charity, it would be among those that are considered fraudulently based where the administrative costs are greater than the charitable uses of the funds (see http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.c ... 8voVeNdXX4)
2nd. Huntsman so distrusts the Mormon church's ability to perform its core mission of "feeding the hungry, clothing the naked and succoring the the poor" that he would rather invest his funds in a organization he knows will perform the core mission (the Giving Pledge http://givingpledge.org).
Mormon Man god, Mormon Bastard jesus and their Corrupt Corporation cheating the poor and living high off their needs.

Way off. Huntsman was making a case for the need for charitable contributions beyond giving just to churches.

Not sure if it's purely for show, but it is tax deductible.
That said, with the Book of Mormon, we are not dealing with a civilization with no written record. What we are dealing with is a written record with no civilization. (Runtu, Feb 2015)
