Showing my ignorance, who came up with the bare shoulder ban? Whoever was titillated enough by bare shoulders must have had a shoulder fetish (evil in the eye of the beholder).

If I'm remembering correctly there was a time when valiant, faithful, stay-at-home moms would actually pin their little cap-sleeves back so they could wear the sleeveless fashions that Jackie Kennedy made so popular.

As you can imagine, the church saw their total control and intimidation slipping away, and so.... porn-shoulders were created. Sisters were cautioned about causing instant erections for the men who obviously couldn't control them selves and had to throw the sister down on the sacrament table right then and there.
