Sweden has had a right wing government for quite some time. However, in the 70s and 80s Olaf Palme was prime minister and he was a true blue democratic socialist. But his days are over as sweden heads to the right of the political spectrum. Poor Olaf was murdered as he walked with his wife along the streets of Stockholm after seeing a movie.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world. Joseph Smith We are “to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to provide for the widow, to dry up the tear of the orphan, to comfort the afflicted, whether in this church, or in any other, or in no church at all…” Joseph Smith

The soldiers, with their hollowness hidden beneath twinkling buttons and buckles, crisp serge, and glossy leather, didn’t depress Paul nearly as much as the Reeks and Wrecks did. .
Your country is rather bipolar as it decides which direction it should go. As for me, I would like the days of Janos Kadar to come back. He was a good guy and I am sure that many Hungarians miss him. Living in hungary is like living on a roller coaster. Up and down and all around we go.

From a foreign policy persepctive Palme was probably Sweden's last true independent leader -- the ones that followed, especially the one that just got thrown out in the elections, appear to get their marching orders from the US State Department.
However, the definition of "right" and "left" as interpreted by Americans does not apply to nations such as Sweden. It Obama were to run for office in Sweden he would be considered a far-right fringe candidate.
