I'm writing on a message board, not a Term Paper. I wrote plenty of those in college. Here's some I was able to save, including my Senior Thesis and Study.... http:/ [hopefully deleted]
For your own sake, Lee, please delete this link. I'm sure that Pasha, will, too--if you do.

Yes.

You keep saying how world-wise you are. Well, I say: pics of you decked out in your anti-Mormon best, complete with decorations and awards for critical thinking, or it didn't happen.

Yes.
Why? I can read any stupidities without accepting one letter of them - or become as stupid as the writer. Anyway, I stored the link for future use...
by the way he will not delete it. I am now prophecying.
- Whenever a poet or preacher, chief or wizard spouts gibberish, the human race spends centuries deciphering the message. - Umberto Eco - To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei

What after all is scripture? It's the words of the Prophets. It's not only "revelations" from God, it's mostly teaching, expounding, etc. the doctrines of God. Further, since it's humans and written, it's not perfect either.
Paul believed women should be silent in church, and it was better not to be married. Both are false doctrines. The Apostles sometimes disagreed, argued, etc. in the New Testament. They still do in the modern church. Almost the entire New Testament is in fact little different than LDS Conference talks and letters, etc. by modern Church leaders. Most of the New Testament are simply letters to the various "churches" a.k.a. Wards/Stakes of the Church, teaching and expouding the doctrines of Christ and his Gospel.
In the Old Testament some Prophets sinned, made errors, mistakes, etc.
Scripture is not some "infallible word of God" like Evangelicals/Protestants etc. believe. It does CONTAIN it, but that's one of the reasons for true Prophets and a True Church, so people aren't tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine.
Doctrine is determined in God's Church by:
- Scripture - Prophets - Holy Spirit - Common Consent
All existing and all agreeing with each other. These are God's "checks and balances", and they have ALWAYS existed, even when Christ was on the earth, he organized an authoritative church, not some everyone believe what they want, and assume whatever authority they want church like other Christians believe.
- That way nobody's following or interpreting wrong in scripture. - Nobody follows false prophets - Nobody follows the spirit of the devil - And nobody follows only mob rule.
You all always ask "what is doctrine" and "how to determine doctrine" in the LDS Church, well that's it. That's how we know and understand what is and isn't doctrine etc., and you all don't.
So we get to disregard the counsel of Paul because he is dead, but since Dave is alive, even if he is wrong, we can't disregard it without fear of spiritual retribution.
The ten religious traditions that LDSfaqs attended before age 10 is nothing compared the thirty Lee Universe attended at that same age. When Lee Universe related that on the Mormon Answers forum at the old Beliefnet, we were all astonished. That young man really got around.

Bumping this.
Edit to add:
I'm sure Shades would delete the links, if you asked.
You know what is scripture in the Mormon Church? Whatever is perceived to be correct by whatever member is at the head of whatever organization. Period. All of the traditions and elements of culture along with that person's life experiences, along with whatever they perceive to be receiving witness to.
