You people aren't very smart.... and only continue to prove your bigotry, ignorance, lying, and intolerance.
1. Sleep Apnea is not getting enough Oxygen. Not getting enough oxygen reduces ones saratonin and dopamine levels. The combination of these things depending on the severity, causes a person to be tired all the time, and depending on severity the degree of tiredness as well.
Imagine yourself in a room slowly losing oxygen, your head starts to hurt and you bearely can move. Sometimes you can force yourself very briefly through will, but it is only a moment of effort, you simply cannot move otherwise. This is what my life is like.... As an example, during the last year 1 1/2 I once went 2 months without showering and 4 months without doing laundry. That's how much fatigue I have. Not long after that I had to move. My Bishop and I moved my stuff together. It was so hard for me that I would work for 5 minutes and have to lay down sticking my head in a pillow for 10 minutes due to the head pain and fatigue.
I've mentioned how getting my family back makes me feel better. Turns out that that closeness and deep love increases ones saratonin and dopamine levels, thus can counteract the effects of chronic fatigue. Of course, it's not a true solution, the other problems still exist, they are just being masked some.
So, to all those who "think" that I'm just "lazy" or a "loser" or otherwise.... You are ignorant bigots. These are REAL health issues, not ones "imagination". Oxygen is REAL, not imaginary.
2. Yes, I haven't yet taken the sleep study, but I DID do a preliminary test in which they put a monitor on your finger overnight to test various things. It showed that 80% of my sleep was interrupted sleep, not breathing, etc. So yes.... My doctor diagnosed it.... ignorant judgemental jerk!

Hey, I'll bet that this guy below probably gets tired, too, from a lack of arms -
Oh, wait - something that probably could tire him out is the sheer volume of your "I don't get enough oxygen while I'm sleeping so I overfed myself" complaints.
I find it curious that you seem to have enough oxy in your system to relentlessly type hundreds of insults a day to anonymous folks on internet message boards. Imagine that.
And, yes - there are two folks in my extended family who use a cpap machine... so we 'get' the problem - both what it is, and what it is not. Your whining isn't convincing anyone.

This was posted almost 2 weeks ago. Has it been attended to?

I had yet another response here posted to you, faqs, but you know what? I've thought better of it. I think that at this point, the best thing you can do is go inflict your psychology on someone else.

You aren’t the only one who has ever been in an abusive relationship. It took years of counseling to help undo the damage of the years of emotional rape of one my exes.
You aren’t the only one who has sleep apnea. You want to talk about serotonin? Try having sleep apnea, bipolar disorder, and seasonal affective disorder. Toss in some hypothyroidism (one more blood test to confirm and see an endo), and mood stabilizers that have a tranquilizing side-effect, and it’s a fun little lethargy cocktail that makes sleep apnea look like ephedra.
Despite this, guess what I did Saturday? I woke up at 5:00AM to change the oil on my car. At 6:30AM, we were out the door to go to a suicide prevention walk. At 11:00 I ran across town to pick up a donated stroller, and then drove to the other side of town to drop it off to the family in need. At 1:30, I was at a coin shop, picking out a present for my dad. At 3:00 I went to volunteer at a charity’s storage unit to help sort through donations. At 6:00 I rushed home, showered, took my son to his godfather’s, and took my fiancé out on a date. I was running on fumes, and bloody exhausted, but I got it done because I was motivated to get it all done.
Today I woke up at 4:50AM to go to work. After work, I am going to the community center to work out. I am going there instead of the gym because my son has T-ball at the community center at 5:15PM, so this will allow me to work out, watch him, and then finish up my workout. After that, I am swinging by my parents to help move an armoire upstairs. By the way, I have a torn pec that never healed correctly, patellar tracking disorder in both knees, and instability in my right shoulder. Each day, I can either choose to let the pain of those injuries make me a victim, or I can choose to push through and have a great workout. Each day, I can either choose to go home and sit on the couch and watch TV, or I can go to the gym (and still get to watch some TV while on the treadmill).
Stop the excuses. I know that you think they are being given to defend yourself, but what they are doing is they are reinforcing your own victimhood. Stop being a victim and start being a survivor.
You say walking is too easy? Evidently it isn’t, or you’d already be doing it. Get off your ass and walk. You say you are a master of multiple sports? Well, stop talking about how awesome you are at sports, and prove it.
Watch some CT Fletcher (warning, there will be lots of F-bombs), or some other high energy motivator. The problem isn’t sleep apnea. The problem isn’t your ex-wife. The problem isn’t people who supposedly attack you. The problem is YOU! So stop it. Stop being your own obstacle. Make something great happen. You are still young. There is still plenty of life left in you. Get out there and make something incredible out of it. For you. Make the choice to stop complaining about the reasons you are where you are, and instead make the choice to motivate yourself to get where you are going. Stop making your victimhood a priority.
You are worthy and capable of so many great things. You have the capacity to make a positive impact on so many lives. Stop being the thing that holds you back.
