It would be hard to hear much of that over the noise made by the Bi-PAP, which can be considered akin to white noise. What would really be snazzy would be the ocean sounds built into the Bi-PAP and stereo ear plugs attached to the full face mask.
Better sleep and oxygenation can lead (hopefully) to a diminution of anger toward those liberals.
We're both going to have to try something. My wife and I barely sleep in the same room very often due to the fact that both of us snore so loud. The last time I tried this I was a student and got taken to the cleaners. Perhaps my insurance will be a little better now.
Anyone ever buy the "My pillow" that Sean Hannity advertises?

+1
Whenever my weight gets above 250, my apnea gets exponentially worse. I ballooned up to 275 over the last month, strength training, and I am exhausted because of the crap sleep -- and I usually wake up to all of the bedroom doors closed because of how loud I am. My fiancé had an orthotic made for me that brings the lower jaw forward, and depresses the tongue. I just couldn’t stand it though.
Currently saving up for a sleep study (those things are crazy expensive -- even with insurance).
Lee, hope now that there's a finger on some of the health problems, your quality of life skyrockets. Best of luck.

Yes!!! Well not me, but a family member who has sleep apnea. It was given to them as a gift with the claim that it would be the best pillow they ever used.
And that's exactly what they say about it now!

The one I did was $2k. I didn't know much about how insurance worked as a lay person. So I just asked if the study was covered under my insurance. They said, "Yes it is, come on in." Then I got the $2k bill 3 mos. later.

I think with my insurance, it'll end up being around $3,000(ish). My mom said that without insurance, hers would have cost over $20,000(!).

I've been using one for a couple of years to stop my snoring. I ended up with a ResMed S9 -- it works great and is so quiet my wife doesn't hear it. I saw one on Craigslist not too long ago (barely used, with humidifier) for $350.

Wonder how much they would charge to attach the electrode patches in Canada or Hungary? At $20,000 that would be over $1,000 (10-20 electrodes) per electrode. Maybe it would seem less ridiculous if you divided the cost over an eight-hour interval. That would be $2,500/hr.
Part of the problem is that if someone wanted to pay cash out of a medical savings account, he could very well get nailed for $20k. I guarantee you the insurance company didn't pay $18k to the doctor and medical professionals as their part of the bill.
