Yup. That's exactly it. Somehow, you think you have a sort of a kind of a feeling that your view is supported by the First Presidency. I'll bet the farm, then.

I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis.

That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.

Thought: I'm hoping you come back to the other threads where questions to you are still left unanswered.

Thanks for the reminder. I hope to get to some of those things later this week. (If something slips through the cracks, feel free to drop me a PM with a link.) I can't promise to have the capacity to field every question from everyone, but I'll try to be as responsive as reasonably possible. Fair enough?

?! Have you even taken a moment to consider and weigh the brief citations I provided, just prior to your message?

Looks like I'm about to gain a farm.

I hope you enjoy the farm!

Consider what the lady in the OP is telling us.
The Prieshood were given leadership training, the wives of the priesthood were given training on how to delight in their husbands glory. She was taken to a special meeting not because she was a Stake Leader, but because she was the wife of a man who had a Priesthood calling.

I think that's her issue, the inequality of how a woman's calling is institutionally viewed as lesser than that of a mans, regardless of what any General Authroity has had to say on the matter. Remember it was only a matter of months ago that a woman praying at General Conference was given the go ahead. If women were to be glorified just like the menfolk, why weren't women allowed to pray at General Conference until very recently? Those GA's you quote are meaningless if the actions within the Church don't reflect what those people said, and clearly there's a mismatch.
“When we are confronted with evidence that challenges our deeply held beliefs we are more likely to reframe the evidence than we are to alter our beliefs. We simply invent new reasons, new justifications, new explanations. Sometimes we ignore the evidence altogether.” (Mathew Syed 'Black Box Thinking')

Misquoted. I think it is "delight your husbands orally".

I was just noticing you running away again from another thread.

OK. I can't speak for how others might feel, but I've actually served in leadership, and I honestly enjoy serving in Primary considerably more than any other place in the church.

I'm sure you did, but it doesn't change how most view callings as to there esteem and prestige.

Or " delight in your husband's glory holes"

Please feel free to send links to any threads you feel I've run away from.
For the record, I did say previously that I intend to reply to a few posts later this week...if that somehow counts...Perhaps it doesn't... ;0)
