Even that stupid dads and families may say the same, if they were a little less stupid... one should not have a graphic imagination, how the virginity can be checked. By a doctor, by old hags, or by the parents themselves.
To be more precise - and more personal - : we, (my wife and me) know exactly, when and how did our daughters and granddaughters lost their virginity. (the boys as well...) They reported it. They were taught that way.
