My mom, who had aspirations of becoming an oil painter, was a big fan of this guy. My wife, who's a digital artist (she did much of the 2D background art for Star Craft: Brood Wars and several Sid Meier productions) absolutely hates him. I found him very entertaining and strangely mesmerising. I predict he'll be remembered much longer and more fondly than Thomas Kinkaid, the Painter of Light.
