shulem, for those of us with only a vague idea of Bednar and do not know what sort of show he might be putting on can you help us , or me anyway, , What is this that you are talking about?
I'm poking fun at Bednar and his wife who performed yet another show to help rescue the youth of the Church and prevent them from leaving religion.
Here is the link and there is a video which I have not watched because it will only serve to nauseate me. Bednar and his wife are a couple of Mormon nerds that haven't a clue what youth need in order to live healthy and happy lives. Old school Mormonism teaches that masturbation habits lead to surrendering your soul to Satan.
Egyptologists would translate the cartouche as being the Egyptian God Osirus. It is Reformed Mormonism that wants to assign the name Ptolemy, which came to their leader "The Bob" after a raucous night of testifying.
1) Youth who anticipate being temple worthy and maintain a steadfast course in Mormonism
2) Youth who are indifferent about being temple worthy and choose a course of their own liking
The Bottom Line:
(1) Temple worthiness and personal cleanliness
(2) Worldly sinfulness and habitual masturbation
QUESTION:
Which of the above will generate more future tithe dollars for the Church coffers?
[ ] 1
[ ] 2
Mormonism is all about controlling your crotch, making you comply, and collecting your money
Yet another rescue mission that fails. Oh sure there might be a few dozen youth who succumb and cave in but overall these obviously staged endeavors rarely work. From my perspective (limited, at best, of course), these kinds of efforts have limited utility for obvious reasons, the most being, they have no real interest in the issues facing them. The outlook vision of all the brethren are a train tunnel narrow funnel of seeing and they are simply incapable of having any other insight into much of anything. We have 200 solid years of impeccable evidence for this. Nothing has changed.
Church News wrote:In one of the several missionary meetings, a young elder expressed uncertainty of how some of the Savior’s teachings could work in his life. Elder Bednar emphasized the difference between believing in Christ but not necessarily believing Christ, where one might believe the Savior’s teachings apply to others — but not to one’s own self.
Inviting the elder to stand and come to the front of the chapel, Elder Bednar looked him in the eyes and said: “I am talking to you. I am not talking to your companion. I am not talking to the people on the stand.”
Elder Bednar is a master in making others feel guilty and ashamed for failing to be loyal to the Church. It's not about Jesus Christ, per se. It's all about LOYALTY to the Church. You can't be loyal to Jesus Christ without first being loyal to the Church. Does this remind you of the mutually exclusive clause? Remember, you can't turn left and right at the same time or you can't roll an even number and an odd number at the same time with a pair of dice. It's one or the other but Bednar wants his cake and eat it too. Bednar is a master at teaching that in order to follow Christ you must follow Mormonism. There is no other way. This means that those who are not following Mormonism are NOT following Christ which also must mean that only Mormonism is Christianity and the rest of the world is lost. Does that sound familiar? One true Church. Church of the Lamb Vs. Church of the Devil.
My friends, that's Mormonism in a nutshell. If you don't belong to the Church of the Lamb then you are a member of the Church of the Devil! Yes you!

He is only talking to the elder, yet says it in front of and loud enough to hear by his companion and all the people on the stand and in the room.
