You overlook two of the core purposes of temples. Worship and instruction.

Complete what is oft referred to as temple "work", and one gets to focus on other elements of God's work. https://www.lds.org/scriptures/pgp/mose ... ang=eng#37
What are you talking about? The center of temple "work", worship and instruction is the endowment.
And?

Says who?

1) I think you may not yet be clear what the word endowment means, and the process that receiving such involves. Is it an event/destination, or a process/journey?
2) Do animals still have to die for Jews to worship and learn? No. Why then can't people go through "temples" without dead people? Answer: they can.

Who is being endowed then? Obviously you have no idea what is going on in the endowment.

As you insist, you must somehow know much more about Mormonism...and I must not have ever given the faith any considerable reflection or study. ;0)
I defer again to my "Eh" hoodie.
Perhaps it should instead be "Eh?"

I did notice, however, that you yet again chose to deflect and ignore direct questions. A surprisingly common non-response.

"Who is being endowed then?"
Simply think it through....it might come to you.

You may be in right. There are over-sensitives...

by the way
- the B word:
Rather than being a crude joke that went too far, Butthole Lane actually takes its name from the old English word ‘butt’, which was a target.

It is believed Butthole Lane was where archers practices shooting at targets during the Tudor period.

- the F word:

Because of frequent reporting of awareness of the situation grew so far that particular English tourists arriving by buses to the village in order to be photographed in front of the name signs that are stolen even partially. Therefore, the eight town signs at the four city limits by concreting, welding and riveting were secured against theft in August of 2005.

Apostolic Blessing given by Elder Holland at a Sisters Devotional on Dec 11, 2015 in Tucker, GA.

I want to leave you with an Apostolic blessing tonight, on every single one of you, upon your heads, in the name of Jesus Christ and through the power of the priesthood, the Priesthood after the Order of the Son Of God. (He used the full and actual name of the Melchezedik priesthood) "As if my hands were upon your heads," I invoke a blessing upon all your heads. No, not just ours, on the heads of all who were unable to attend, upon the heads of those whom you pray for and weep for, upon the heads of all—men, women and children—this is not a male church‐‐a vicarious blessing through the power of the Priesthood. I invoke a
blessing as if my hands were laid upon your heads. (He extend his hands in demonstration.) We believe in vicarious blessings! Vicarious actions are very important to the Lord (He then spoke about how important vicarious works are to the Lord. Referencing temple work, many actions of the Priesthood are done vicariously) The Lord Loves you, He knows you and blesses you. In Particular, I bless those women with private heartache, who are suffering and have faith in Jesus Christ. I bless you and ask you to bless and help each other.

"Your righteousness will heal and bless those you pray over. Someday, somehow your faithfulness will count for the salvation and safety of those you love. They will come back. The White hats win here! Light always conquers darkness.” Your righteousness will count for the safety and protection of those you love. They can absolutely be saved by your faith and faithfulness to covenants. They have their agency and will have to eventually repent and pay the price. Hang on! Keep your covenants! I’m very upbeat on the Plan of Salvation!

I bless you and those you love. I bless those you cry for and pray about. Whatever the question, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the answer. Love it with all your heart! This is God’s Church. This is the Kingdom of God on Earth.

Bill

Almost exactly the same apostolic blessing he gave this past sunday in val vista az stake conference and probably the same "stay in the boat of the church no matter what difficulties or pain you are going through" talk he gave.
