DL, ZL and AP - where are they now?
At one time on the mission being a District or Zone leader was a big deal and becoming AP - assistant to the President - a sure sign of future greatness in church leadership.
From your time and knowing some - Where are they now in the Church?
Three of the five AP's I dealt with are not completely out. Another teaches at BYU so must still be in. Have not heard of the last one since a couple years after the mission.

I was a zone leader for most of my mission, but I'm much more proud of having been a trainer for most of my mission. That is much more important than "glamour" positions, I think. A lot of people don't think like that, though, and we all knew missionaries who would have regarded their mission as a failure if they didn't "make AP."
If I was a mission president, I would want my best missionaries out in the field working and leading by example, not in the office or in meetings.
I'm actually only in contact with my companions, not former mission leadership. But, I'm not very active on social media at all.

I'm only still in touch with two people from my mission. (Probably could track down a few more if I cared.)
I was a DL and ZL, and I no longer believe. As far as I know, the other two are still very active. So that's one out of three, rights?
I can't even remember the names of the various APs.

I have not kept in touch with anyone from my mission, but I was a DL, ZL & AP during my time there. I went inactive within a year after coming home.

I was dl, zl, and ap. Now I am apostate.

I was never any of them, save what you all are now, an anti-Mormon and anti-religionist, and now I've long been a full believer.

Re: DL, ZL and AP - where are they now?
I was all three on my mission as well, and I am now a fully inactive "I don't know what I believe" leaf blowing in the wind. Its funny, because when I first got out there on my mission, I thought the AP's and ZL's were the most spiritual guys on the planet. Then as I got to know them and how missionaries actually behaved, I realized they were just like everyone else. When I became AP........well, then I sort of knew it was all game.

I was a DL and a ZL. The only thing that remains of my membership is my name is still on the records. Otherwise, I'm a complete disbeliever and don't participate in anything except the occasional church function when family duty calls.
Of the 2 guys I served with who later were AP's, one is out and one, as far as I can tell, is in.
