yes, grandpa, i am aware of CA's surplus of almost 20b back in 2011, but the OP is comparing Kansas today (ehem, 2017)...and Kansas today has $1b deficit compared to California's today deficit of $2b....see how reality sinks in and makes you feel uninformed about stuff?
truly shocking that you can connect to internet, let alone google anything

Kansas is a welfare queen state getting $1.29 for every dollar it pays in federal taxes. California gets $0.75

Re: Kanas - example of trickle down economics?
I happen to know a Kansas business owner. He used to pay himself a salary and bonus of, say, $300k a year, and another $75k a year of profit income. Now that he doesn't pay state income taxes on profit, he rearranged it to a salary of $127,200* and tax-free profits of $247,800.
He says he didn't use the tax savings to create jobs in Kansas--the size of his firm is based on how much he can sell, not his state income tax rate. He says he doesn't spend much of the marginal money in Kansas either--most is saved or spent on exotic vacations.
His top employee makes $150k in salary and bonus and pays more in state taxes than he does.
----------
*He would draw a salary of zero, classify all his income as profit, and pay zero state tax if he could, but his accountant says the IRS would frown on him having a salary less than the SS Tax max. This the $127,200.

It’s relatively easy to agree that only Homo sapiens can speak about things that don’t really exist, and believe six impossible things before breakfast. You could never convince a monkey to give you a banana by promising him limitless bananas after death in monkey heaven.

Subgenius/LDSFAQs/Bach are a prime examples of how the infantilization of western men manifests. They live in a society that allows them to resist adulthood, responsibility, and the cultivation of personal ethics by clinging to the trappings childhood. But even their pursuit of an extended pre-adolescence is handicapped by their lack of conviction and perseverance which has been grotesquely atrophied by the low bars they've hurdled in their lives as men of low achievement in the contemporary western world.
Had they been forced to negotiate any critical or important life challenge at any point they'd have the ability to fully cognate their obsession with all things Liberal as emblematic of the failures of their personal lives and lack of control over their own appetites and passion for mediocrity (notice how much they lie about their lives and 'careers'). Alas they're unable to acknowledge nor overcome the contradiction of their current identities, rooted in pursuits based on immaturity and a lack of personal discipline, and the urge to transition into adulthood turning them into the Trumpian parodies they have become.
Dumb. Mentally lazy. Wanting the crown without earning it. Of course they're pro-Trump because he personifies their wildest dreams.

Safe spaces, grammar as racism, white tears, etc are constructs of a liberal society not of an adult society.
