Well. If it makes you feel any better I just got done mentoring a guy on a Junior Soldier (female) who is in an abusive relationship and just admitted to collecting a higher Basic Allowance for Housing than she was entitled to receive. I had to suppress my seething contempt and rage for women to save her career and suggest counseling for her safety, but I went ahead and did it because I like to feel internally conflicted. Let me know if this works for you, and if it doesn't I can contact Hillary Clinton's & Mia Love's office and let them know I should recant my vote for them since I hate women so much.

When I was thinking about how to respond to your post given it was clearly off in justifying attacks on a person by outside parties trolling like trolls do, the idea saying "victim blaming" would be a value-laden dialog killer that would detonate in the conversation was very much on my mind. I would normally avoid using it, but since we've been all hung up on how simple terminology can become conversation ending clichés recently, I thought, "Let's pull the pin and lob this bad boy into the conversation." And it went off about how I expected it to.

So, yeah. Fake news used to just be an adjective modifying a noun. Now it's a conversation ending cliché. I don't know if that helps make a point, but it's nice to see your reaction was about what I thought it would be to it.

Public conversation is being destroyed by terminology both sides use to describe boundaries and insults that don't help move the dialog. In cases like this, I'm not sure what to say really, though. It just seems illogical to believe that the incident wasn't best handled internal to the school and once it leapt onto the internet, bad things were bound to happen that aren't justifiable in any way. That's reality.
