If anyone can answer these questions, please do. Assad was supposed to have given up all his chemical weapons. I read online that the sarin gas used in the attack to which Trump responded with air strikes, was held by rebels.

Does that make a difference if Assad was given oversight of the chemical weapons?

Also, if Assad was supposed to have given up his chemical weapons...where'd the chlorine come from?

I guess it could be bogus, but bogus news usually exaggerates. This says only two people were injured, no one killed. Kenneth Roth from Human Rights Watch is tweeting about it. Here is a video of the two who were injured, the doctors said they smelled Chlorine and Syria has used chlorine bombs in the recent past in this same area. If you click on the youtube uploader ياسر الفوال الدوماني you'll see this is a guy who regular posts on the ground footage of the carnage that is happening in Syria.

Mouaz Moustafa, executive director of Syrian ETF, who also tweeted a thank you to Donald Trump for his "decisiveness," apparently reported to CNN's Jake Tapper about this recent chlorine attack. I don't think it is fake. I think it isn't getting headlines because no one died from it and right now the media seems to be having an orgasm over this bombing. Even CNN is taking for granted what the Pentagon is saying about having completely destroyed the airbase, saying also that all 59 tomahawk missiles hit their targets. It showed just two images from the scene, both of which suggest an airplane was obliterated. But they did show the images linked above where no damage appears at all, nor are they discussing the fact that the runway has already been used again.
