Tourism to USA dropping?

When i hear that people carry their guns in places like MacDonalds and other eateries I would not feel very comfortable. How do I know he is a "good guy" with a gun (NRA)?

Unfortunately determining that takes about as long as it takes them to pull the trigger.

To be honest, you're more likely to die from the Big Macs.

LOL I agree. While violence in the US is much higher then other western countries, poor life style choices are still more likely to give you an early death in the US.

It's not guns that are hurting the number of people who want to visit the US, it's Trumps idiocy. He makes Americans look bad, and the uncertainty is causing lower numbers of people to bring their foreign money and spend it in the US. On the other hand other countries like Canada will probably see an increase in tourism since people still like to travel.

The US is a dark and dangerous place. It's full of murderous 2nd amendment supporting rednecks and Trump's deplorables. You wouldn't be safe here. I wouldn't recommend visiting. While our hearts are torn due to the all the money we've lost from people like Aussieguy and Themis, we think Canada would be the best place to vacation during your Aussie winter this June.

But we really hope you can send us more refugees, jihadist, and impoverished people. It seems like the UK has enough jihadist to spare and our taxpayers can't wait to forfeit their paychecks to all the needy people you might offer a tourist/citizenship visa. We know you're not citizens and don't pay US taxes but you should have just as much right to decide who our president is as we do whether you bear the responsibilities of citizenship or not. I'm not sure why Trump keeps appealing to US citizens when running for president of the United States. Doesn't he realize he's lost the votes of the rest of the world?

I know people who are recent immigrants to the US who have family in other countries perpetually worried for them because they think the US is a place where a spree shooting or armed robbery can break out at any moment. You'd think they think the country is a war-zone. It's the flip side of Americans thinking traveling to Europe might be dangerous because a terrorist attack made the news even though the danger of being caught in a terrorist attack is so small as to be negligible.

The recent tourism decline is probably more about the election of Trump and his xenophobic rhetoric/crowds making the country appear more hostile to foreigners. But I'm sure people employed in the hospitality industry can find one of those new, glorious jobs in the coal mines.

Just yesterday, Eric Trump, a businessman who is in no way connected to the current government, explained that Democrats who oppose Trump are "not even human." This is far, far worse than calling a portion of Trump supporters bigoted "deplorables." It's as text book dehumanization as is possible, which is, you know, roughly infinitely worse than playing loose on estimates of how many Trump supporters are motivated by bigotry. No doubt, you'll whine and moan about the name-calling this represents for months on end. I mean, this isn't a just bad faith complaint that you bring up over and over just to disingenuously play the victim. Right?

Yes! How terribly unfair and mean spirited it is to expose his daddy's outrageous lies and corruption!

I agree that this is almost certainly the main reason for the recent decline of tourism to the USA.
