Can we impeach this idiot already?
Trump Tweets today:
"Putin & I discussed forming an impenetrable Cyber Security unit so that election hacking, & many other negative things, will be guarded.."
Talk about hiring a fox to guard the hen house.
Imagine if Obama said he was going to be working with Osama bin Laden to form a counter terrorism unit.
Remember when Hillary said Putin wanted Trump elected because he needed a puppet? She was obviously dead on.

He is in dereliction of his duty to the American people and as Commander-in-Chief to keeping our country safe from one of our worst foes.
He obviously is deeply indebted to Putin for winning the election, and God knows what else Putin has on him that perhaps Mueller will uncover (or already has) in his investigation of collusion.
If impeachment won't do the trick, the 25th Amendment might.

We'll just have to wait and see what the investigations reveal, before any direct action against Drumpf can occur. I'm not optimist that even if serious crimes were committed he would face impeachment or Pence starting a 25th Amendment removal.

Pence doesn't need to start a 25th Amendment action. Congress could. It would need the support of VP but he is not the beginning of such an action.
As things are now, Congress has begun a petition to have Trump removed under the 25th Amendment for his dereliction of duty as CoC. They still need to rally the GOP for support, so far it's been app 30 Democrats to sign. With each passing gaffe and dereliction of duty it may not be far off that some Republicans will get on board that train.
I doubt that will happen before an impeachment action would be brought. If the charges stick that Trump obstructed justice by firing Comey and covering for the Russians, then he may be given a choice to either resign or face impeachment - similar to how Nixon was removed from office.

Dereliction of Duty is an impeachable offense. It would still need an investigation to proceed to impeachment. Let alone removal from office. We're not going to short circuit this, nor should we, no matter how much Drumpf needs to be removed from office.

Re: Can we impeach this idiot already?
The images of trump wandering aimlessly are extremely disconcerting. He has no agenda, no goal, no purpose. He has no idea what he's supposed to do and no one to talk to. He is confused and lonely. Good stuff for our President and for us, no?
The thing is how can anyone see him at these global events, and see a man who is smart and powerful? Does anyone care because at the end of the day I really believe the people that support him want him to dismantle our foreign policy, and break all of America's ties to the western world. They seem to think that's a good thing, and that America can only get ahead if we isolate ourselves from the rest of the world unless we're selling someone something.
What's even more mind boggling and telling about Trump's base is that the person whose vision of the global political environment this most closely aligns with his is Putin's. Directly or indirectly, Trump is giving him everything he wants on the geopolitical stage.
The crux of the issue is Trump supporters really don't possess any particular views on policy (foreign or domestic). They're moved only by a nihilistic hatred of Liberals. Whatever riles them up is their bread and butter. They feel they've been mocked and ridiculed by popular culture, and now it's a chance, I guess, to get back at everyone. Plus, Liberals kill babies and give Black people welfare.
Anyway. They elected Trump because he's a pig, because he can lay the biggest and steamiest piles of crap on anyone who didn't support him. You have to pay attention, but if you follow interviews of Trump supporters, you'll notice these comments, "I like it when Trump shakes the media a little bit". What they're really saying is: I like it when he craps all over everything. I'd like to crap on everything, too. But I can't do it. So I have him do it. It feels good to see him crap on the Left.
The absolute idiocracy of this situation is that his supported get fooled, too. Because Trump doesn't like his supporters, and if he could get away with it he'd wipe his ass with the hillbillies that follow him. Trumpites really don't have very sophisticated reasons for supporting him:
"Trump is a billionaire so he must 'know money'," as I've heard them say here and there.
So you have that.
I also believe that best we can hope for is he'll realize he's the clown and not the show runner. He's gonna find himself in the situation of the performer who sees his audience getting bored and dwindle when he strays from his main trick. That will hurt his ego badly, and he may just pull one term.
Unfortunately, as human beings, we get used to the noise and Trump's low is the new normal. I would hope the media and us, for that matter, get better at parsing through that noise, to distinguish what is just people bloviating and what are the canaries in the coals mine dying as the system crashes. When Trump is gone, and his supporters have followed him in that pit of shame and oblivion, we'll have a heavy work ahead of us.

Trump recognizes he's losing steam from the voters who won him the electoral votes. His base support may still be strong but they weren't the ones to carry the normally blue states that went red in 2016.
He won't win in 2020 at the way he's disenfranchised already the voters who put him in office.
The only exception to this I see is if he drags us into a war not of our choosing. When a country's at war the people rally around their leader whether he's deserving or not. Trump knows how to manipulate and con the public. He may not be a master manipulator like Putin is. But he is a con man and a manipulator, so he'll pull out all the moves he can to ensure he stays in power.
He's setting himself up for a long run. He's grooming is children to follow in his footsteps like the oligarchy he aspires to become ie, The United States of Donald Trump.
Someone on my Facebook who's conservative just announced Ivanka will be president of the United States someday, and will make an excellent one given her training and background. I was incredulous. What training? What background? She runs a fashion enterprise. Has zero political or government experience until nepotism landed her a job along with her husband as Trump's closest aids.
This is damned scary when some people are so blind to what is going on. Our ancestors fought for our liberties, and there are those ready to throw them away on an aspiring despot based on his tomfoolery. They've been duped!

Hey Cam!
Did you just type that with a straight face? Surely, you had your tongue firmly planted in your cheek, right?
Due to your very balanced and rational contributions lately in and around these highly charged political threads, I am shocked by this bit of complete nonsense that you offer.
You do have one thing right though - there is a political group of people in America that is, in fact, moved only by deep and nihilistic hatred toward their fellow citizens. But it isn't the conservative group nor is it the liberal group.
Peace,
Ceeboo

Despite the idiotic followers who will undoubtedly spin this tweet as proof of his amazing negotiation skills and leadership, it seems he has pissed off a number of Republican lawmakers already with his idea.

I found this article to be fair and balanced. We really do vote our morals.
