 I thought you once said you lived in or near L.A., which I interpreted to mean Los Angeles. I guess you must have meant Los Alamos. Is that right?

Just get his address. Come on, we'll go pay him a visit.

Yes, it is an apple/orange comparison because of several reasons. While Norway is maybe the size of New Mexico (yes, there is a New Mexico) your stats can hardly be compared at any level with seriousness - intellectual seriousness at least, but it does have a great emotional and lemming type of appeal.
  Right on cue! Chap sure called that one! What reasons can you give that it is an apple/orange comparison that are other than your flat, unsupported, ad hoc assertions? Whatever else you might claim, it is still undeniably true that Norway has a much lower crime rate and recidivism rate than the U.S.A., and it would be ridiculously arrogant and obtuse of us to flatly reject the possibility that there is anything we can learn from studying how or why Norway manages to achieve such dramatically better results than we do.

Besides that, it is hilariously ironic for anyone who slavishly buys into Fox News propaganda and supports Trump to accuse others of lemming-like behavior.

I'm happy for you that you live in a Tennessee county that has a low crime rate, but Tennessee as a whole has the 4th highest crime rate in the nation, regardless of how you attempt to excuse or rationalize away the significance of that. And yes, I agree that it might be instructive to study why your county has such a low crime rate.
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Sheeeiyit. You're from Los Alamos? I married and divorced a genius from there. I absolutely loved Los Alamos and would totally live there if it weren't for the crushing embarrassment of being surrounded by people far better and more accomplished than I could ever be.

And I'll answer that question Mr. Majax, when you answer mine.

Yucaipa is just below average on crime. it is not exactly low, but lower, and for so ca standards good.

I lived in Albuquerque for almost a decade in the late 70's to late 80's Would have stayed but parents were getting old, and asked us to bring the Grandchildren to come live closer to them. I now live about 100 mile east of Los Angeles.

Thanks for clearing up my confusion. I lived in Albuquerque also for about 2 years when I was stationed at Kirtland AFB. It was my last permanent duty station before retiring from the Air Force. I agree with you that New Mexico is a beautiful state. I briefly considered settling there after my retirement.

It wasn't a combative, rhetorical question, to be used against each other in the future, just an experience sharing question. It's ok if you're not comfortable talking about it. I'm just interested when I hear of a man divorcing a woman since most divorces are initiated by women.
