Drumpf the so called strong p-resident.

Post by _The CCC »

Donald Trump made a successful run for his dump we call the White House by demagoguing the Mexicans.
Now it turns out he isn't such a good "Deal Maker" but a whinny little bitch after all.

A lot of people suspected Trump was just saying things people like Ajax would want, that he never cared about or intended to do. Politicians are good and saying what we want to hear, and Trump just took it to a whole new level.

True. I have a pretty low opinion of most politicians, their pond scum. But Drumpf is below even that.

Trump was pond scum long before he got into politics, and the far right would have said so 10 years ago. Trump just knew that was the only group he could manipulate into voting for him.

Drumpf is just smart enough to know his base.

I have three takeaways from the two transcripts:

1- Trump was by far the worst negotiator in both his conversation with Mexico and with Australia. He wasn't capable of understanding what the other party wanted, how he could deliver exchange something of value for value, or how creative win-win situations could be achieved. He just went in like a bully and said, "this is what I need--give it to me!"

2- Yes, his private concession about the wall showed that to some extent he understood what his base wants and was lying and pandering to them. But on the other hand, his base probably understood that his talk about the wall was mainly symbolic about "America First" and that what matters more to them are protectionist trade deals.

3- In his conversation with Australia, he came across as a close-minded moronic bigot. He easily could have agreed that he was going to use "extreme vetting" against the 1,250 immigrants the U.S. had agreed to take. Instead, he refused to even consider the possibility that they weren't all murderous extremists. And he actually said he has no problem reneging on a commitment if he changes his mind about it. Such dishonor.

For a while now, my suspicion has been that Trump isn't a mastermind strategist that knows how to carefully construct messages in order to manipulate stupid old white conservatives. Rather, he is a stupid old white conservative himself whose sincerely held beliefs are pretty-much what that cohort happens to want to hear.

Is Trump just smart enough to know his base? He is a rank-and-file member of his own base. That's the reality.

I think you don't understand his base. They want a wall. Like. TODAY.

- The funniest part is he told Nieto he would help him get re-elected.

- “He’s the opposite of Teddy Roosevelt,” that official quipped to Guajardo about Trump. “He speaks loudly and carries a small stick.”

- "it is you and I against the world Enrique" so let's put a wall between us!

Even conservative talk radio hosts claimed Trump was really a liberal disguised as a conservative. It turns out that Hannity was one of the few who was right all along.
“There were mothers who took this [Rodney King LA riots] as an opportunity to take some milk, to take some bread, to take some shoes ... They are not crooks.”

This liberal would be about socializing . . . uh, umm. . . . Would be about, basically, taking over, and the government running all of your companies.
