And if you are making your determination based on the opinions of minorites, you might want to consider the views of volumes of them that see Trump as racist. Why is a conservative businessman's opinion more respectable than Jamelle Bouie's?
That's the most racist comment I've seen on this board. And it was done by you.
I'm accusing *you* of tokenism. This is based on your tokenism. But do go on insisting that Donald Trump had a black friend and therfore can't be racist. I mean that's not the most cliché fallacious argument racists use or anything.
“I never heard him say a disparaging comment towards any race of people,” she added.
Trump, the neo-Nazi-loving racist under-the-radar Jew hater's friend:
Ron Lauder had finished addressing a hall of 1,000 people at this year’s annual “Jewish National Fund for Arizona” breakfast, a rapidly growing rite of spring for the people of metro Phoenix who embrace and support the historic and still vital mission of Israel.
As president of the World Jewish Congress, Lauder is no less “the leader of world Judaism,” one of the most influential people in the world. And so his speech that morning was a stirring defense of Israel.
Is a big Trump supporter. I suppose he's just a, and I hate typing this disgusting ethnic slur out but thanks to EA I have to, a "token Jew"? I feel a little nauseous having just written that.

Jersey Girl. His political fame comes specifically from years of promoting a racist conspiracy theory.
He said that a Mexican-American judge from Indiana was unqualified to oversee his fraud case because being a Mexican was a conflict of interest for him. That's textbook racism. He opened his campaign saying, "When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."
That's not a deep dive. We're not analyzing how he uses "inner city" coded racism or anything like that. Those are things he's best known for and it's in your face racism. If you can't see the racism in that, I'm not sure if you can see racism in much of anything.

And then there was the time his apartment building refused to rent to black people.

Adolf Hitler had Jewish supporters, ergo no one can say Adolf Hitler was anti-semitc. This is the level of reasoning you are resorting to.
Having a minority friend or supporter does not make you not racist. That reasoning simply does not follow. And not only does that reasoning not follow, it's a classic argument racists use. It's a neon sign that someone is a racist (or hopefully just really naïve) and yet you keep using it over and over.
I know that was a third tier issue during the campaign, but I picked a few examples of things that were major aspects of his brief political career just to point out how obvious it is. We're talking about how he developed a political base in the first place, what he choose to say announcing his candidacy, and a significant controversy during the campaign that produced widespread condemnation. Paul Ryan, a sentient bowl of Jell-O, referred to it as textbook racism. It ain't subtle.
As the son of a holocaust survivor, I have no tolerance for #racism. Just because I support @President @realDonaldTrump doesn't make me a racist
Seig Heilbrew, amirite guyz? Can't get any more Nazier than hiding in plain sight! Mazel tov, Trump! You got 'em all fooled.

People with bigoted opinions of Jews never accept that Jews can be effective attorneys or wealthy businessmen. Those thoughts are literally incompatible. A person harboring prejudiced ideas towards Jews thinking a Jewish person might make a good attorney for him? Unheard of.
Instead of asking how can a person who provides cover for literal neo-Nazis be racist if he has black and Jewish associates, maybe you want to ask what wrong with the black and Jewish associates Trump has given what they are willing to tolerate in him.
On the other hand, the Anti-Defamation League and Southern Poverty Law Center have been repeatedly issuing condemnations of Trump's behavior as it relates to race. But if you can find a few people in the entire United States who are minority and support him, you have to take their opinion as gospel if you are white person. Thems the rules.
