Do we know whether the attorney for Kirton McConkie pressed the South Jordan prosecutor for a death penalty verdict? Wonder if Professor Midgley would have any information about this?

The temple is going to be under the microscope from now on. NO MORE secrets in the LDS church. What the church does in the temple will be published, broadcasted, and shouted on the housetops. The days of secrecy are over.

Norton? I disagree.

I don't know what his motives are exactly. What I've seen of him over the years seems erratic and narcissistic. What have you seen?

As always, your wish is my command:

Interestingly, during the second video at the 1:31 mark, a guy is brought in who was commissioned--or hired--by the church to infiltrate Mike's social media networks to gather as much intel on Mike as humanly possible to feed it back to the church.

Inexplicably, during the third video, Mr. Dehlin goes full "Louis Midgley" and grills Mike the way a classic-FARMS reviewer might, asking all the tough questions. So, Kishkumen, you might take an interest in that part.

You're welcome. :-)

Thanks, Shades. I had heard this interview before. Dehlin’s podcast is a highly valuable resource!

I'm sure there is a cathartic piece for himself to this as well. Many advocates and rebels are also healing a part of themselves.

What do you consider "fight the consequences"?

I know Mikes brother from another board, and have met with him several times for lunch. He is a good guy and still a member, but is at great odds with Mike. They had another brother that took his own life, partly because of struggles with the church, from what I understand. Dysfunctional may be a gentle word for how they were raised and their struggles with Mormonism... based on many long conversations I have had with Mikes brother.

While Mike is openly critical of the church and blames it for just about everything, his brother is the exact opposite and will protect the image of the church no mater what.

I have a few running hypotheses regarding him. I'm just now starting the video series that Shades posted. Regarding what I think I've seen, after I watch these and if they tend to confirm (or refute) my ideas about him, I'll tell you.

I'm trying to make sure, as best I can, that I am not seeing what I'm looking for.
