Just read this by H. Donl Peterson... This will take you back, Shulem

Riding on a speeding train; trapped inside a revolving door;
Lost in the riddle of a quatrain; Stuck in an elevator between floors.
One focal point in a random world can change your direction:
One step where events converge may alter your perception.

Then there are so many questions that go unanswered, even today.

Saga of the Book of Abraham; Jay M. Todd, 1969

Questions beget questions

“The issue is a confusing one at present.” P. 253

“These are major questions. Perhaps their answers will not be known until that great day when all things are truly known.” P. 289

“In time perhaps we shall know. But this much we do know — we do not know the answer now.” P.290

“Perhaps this view is correct. Perhaps it is not. Only time will tell. P.314

“One wonders, therefore, if the Prophet did indeed think he knew the identity of one of the mummies he had acquired.” P.316

“Obviously, these are questions and relationships that are beyond solution at the present time.” P. 317

“So much for what is public information of the ‘Valuable Discovery.’ Again, its ultimate meaning and value are not known.” P. 318

“Once more, only time will tell.” P. 319

“Only time will reveal the soundness of its conclusions.” P. 380

Muhlestein is a traitor to Egyptology and has disgraced the sacred memory of ancient Egypt. Kerry will go down in history as a traitor and a rat -- a defrocked Egyptologist clown, a mere footnote, and a butt of jokes in conventional Egyptology.

I think it's reasonable to assume that he'll hear about your podcast, consiglieri.

Brian Hauglid's corrections and criticism of your previous podcast errors are legitimate and useful. Especially useful was the correction that Joseph Smith set his own pen to the Kirtland Papers so the scribes can't be blamed as 100% responsible. Other than that, the rest is pretty much of no consequence but correct, nonetheless.

I view Hauglid as not wanting to play the deception game but wants to frame everything in proper context. However, he's in the hot seat because doing so could prove a danger to his relationship with the church. He's stuck between a rock and a hard place. He's going to remain tight lipped until his shelf actually breaks.

Glad to hear that Robert Ritner makes the concession that Joseph Smith got a lucky guess with the four corners of the earth in Facsimile No. 2. See my old apologetic link on this:

The Four Sons of Horus

But let's be clear that this is just a part of what the canoptic jars represent. More important is the funerary representation of the canoptic jars and that is what Joseph Smith missed because he was clueless. The rest of the interpretations of Facsimile No. 2 tendered by Joseph Smith are utter BS. But he did get the four corners or the for directions and considering the fact that this is a theme to ancient thinking and that there are FOUR characters in the register, it's simply a lucky guess on Smith's part as he blindly pins the tail on a donkey -- so to speak.
