I know many CEO's who keep a note pad by the side of their bed for jotting downs ideas that come to them when they are restful and their mind is "quiet". It's a common occurrence, although most don't wake their wives up to tell them all about it. What would be meaningful is if it could be shown that the decision making of Presidents of the Church were more effective, more reliable, more "right", than the decision making of other senior people who don't have the benefit of holding magical divine "keys" for Prophetic insight. Off the top of my head I'd wager that the LDS Presidents hit rate for successful ideas doesn't stack up so well as for those CEO's who are flying solo, so to speak.

Being a witness by being absent? All that can be a witness to is that she's absent, not what took place in her absence.
Seems that's what religion has been left with, testimony of the negative, not the affirmative.
