If you annihilate your family

that is to say, if you in legal terms, commit familicide and possible abuse of one or more corpses, are you allowed to have photos of your deceased family members in your prison cell? If it's a state prison, would this be addressed by state law?

The only thing I can find so far, with regard to a specific state, is that you can have a certain number of photos of a certain size and cannot have contact with your victims. If your family members are also your victims, is there some sort of rule or law against having their photos in your prison cell?

Shanann Watt's life took a dark turn when her husband killed her, their unborn child, and two daughters this past August. He apparently is permitted to have a photo of all three of his victims in his prison cell.

Chris Watts strangled his pregnant wife, dragged her body into his truck (this is seen partially on surveillance footage) then, put both his daughters (age 3 and almost 5) into the back seat of his king cab pick up with no car seats and their dead mother lying on the floor board, drove them to one of his job sites in the middle of nowhere, dumped his wife's body in a shallow grave, smothered his 3 year old daughter with her favorite blankie in front of the 4 year old. Took the 3 year old's body, climbed to the top of a 20ft oil tank (of which there were 2) put her through an 8 inch hole into a solution of crude oil mixed with water. Then, went back to the truck and did the same thing to the 4 year old who begged for her life and tried to put up a fight. She had defensive wounds to her face, mouth and tongue. She was dropped into the second oil tank.

When investigators recovered the bodies, Shanann had had a coffin birth and the skin of both girls was sloughing off due to the crude oil and water mixture.

The Ruzcek's (Shanann's family) had the bodies transported across country back to their home state. The girl's bodies could not be cremated because they were highly flammable and their remains had to be specially sealed due to fumes. They were not allowed to view their loved ones as some people prefer to do.

His parents are the ones who sent the family photo to him in prison.

I wonder if there is some way for the Rzucek family to sue for victim's rights and damages about the photos?

The Rzucek family has been horribly traumatized by these events while Chris Watts talks to his daughter's pictures and reads bedtime stories to them in his cell every day.

Can the family sue the prison using victim's rights laws? Is the Victim's Bill of Rights even applicable in this case?

I wonder how much weight the warden has to leverage in a situation like this.

It's simply heinous that he be allowed to have their photos in his cell. Was Manson permitted to post pics of Sharon Tate, etc., in his cell? Crime scene photos?

Where's the line in a case like this?

If he's going to have family photos, how about trade out the family pics for autopsy photos and make him look at that every day of his miserable life?

Well. We ought to be like Norway, if I'm catching the Leftist drift correctly, so hopefully he gets a cozy room, a gaming station, and all the accoutrments afforded to those who work hard and keep the law. Perhaps having a picture of his family will help him heal.
