So God, our beloved Heavenly Father allows his own daughters to knowingly get sexually abused so that the fingering sinner may have a chance to repent. And MG as a loving father if he actually KNEW what was to happen would do nothing to prevent his own daughters from being sexually traumatized that will affect them the rest of their entire lives negatively, because it would allow his missionary son to possibly repent...
Why send the missionary home then MG? Why not allow him to faithfully serve His God and win converts? By sending him home, the admission is oops, we made a huge mistake. But God inspired us anyway. So God made the huge mistake? Nope. God loves all! God can do anything he wants to. And I am being asked to swallow this swill?!
MG would be a pathological horrible father is he knew his daughters were going to be abused and did nothing to prevent it. But God gets a free pass? It doesn't follow. MG doesn't allow himself to follow the problematic logic of his ridiculous position. He is truly brainwashed by the church cult.

Since this theology Holland advocates as inspired truth actually leads toward atheism, and when the logic is examined and Holland's doctrinal prowess is found to be rather lacking, MG will open the option that he is not in apostasy for disagreeing with an Apostle who has every right to teach wrong things, since God allows evil in the world. Yes Holland may be mistaken in thinking God inspired him to teach this doctrine, according to MG, but what about poor Holland who KNOWS God inspired him to KNOW this about God, even when MG contradicts Holland?! The idea that Heavenly Father is omnipotent and omniscient is a Gospel Principle that is taught consistently by all Apostles and in all official publications. It’s not a one off quote by Mr Holland. On that basis, it’s unequivocally doctrine. Anyone arguing against it is in apostasy.

It's so telling that MG won't play anymore. He knows this thread subject is a real loser, all the twists and turns, denials and lies, reframings, whatabouts, deflections don't change the fact that the church allowed this little monster to run amok.

If they did it here they've done it elsewhere. Really, it's been done for generations. Mormon men long have seen women as there for their use and abuse, given a pat on the head in modern times rather than a slap and a kick. But we know what is happening.

It's fun for a MG to come here and piss all over our threads and disrupt. He doesn't have to prove anything, just insert himself and spray virtual ink all over the screen to try to stop us from our discussions, or at least cause frustration and annoyance. And he does. But there is a "but"...

It's just as fun for us to analyze him, and instructive. There are other MGs out there. We've seen and heard them. They're often in positions of power. They smile while they lie. They pretend and dissemble. They change the subject. Their gymnastics are polished but superficial, effective only among their less astute followers.

But we see them. And it's our job to talk about them, understand them, confront them. If they run, it will not end. They will be back. They have no resolution. They have an unscratchable itch they cannot give in to. They are tormented, because they have built their lives on the lies of a man who has long been exposed and condemned and whose frauds and failures are more glaring with each passing day.

That is what keeps MG coming here and DCP reading here.

In brief observation on this thread...(because I am off and on)...it seems to me that any conversations with MG...makes a sicker thread. It just does...I will never ever understand any justifications or rationalizations for sex abuse in any form. Can anyone repent...??? Sure...but would a loving God even sanction the repentance of one who abuses a child?

Question: If this creator God bears ultimate responsibility for pathogens, earthquakes, and other natural mayhems...what do you DO with that? Keep in mind, this creator God is responsible for the fact that you exist also.

You can't uncreate God...so where do you go with that?

Where would I go with that? Well, let's see. I actually do have a father who, together with my mother, created me. What if my father behaved as your God? What if, at the time I was born, he sent me away to live with a couple of my siblings and never had any direct contact with me? What if the only things I knew about him were stories collected in books by some of my siblings -- few if any of whom even claimed to have direct contact with him? What if some of my siblings claimed to speak on my father's behalf, but they presented vastly different accounts of what he was saying? What if I knew he had specific behavioral expectations for me that would have serious conferences for me later on, but never clearly articulated what those were?

What if I learned that he placed some of my siblings with other siblings he knew were pedophiles or would beat children? Or that he injected them with smallpox, or polio, or ebola? That he introduced painful or crippling genetic conditions that would affect not only that sibling, but the descendants of that sibling? That he sent some of my siblings to live in extreme poverty, leading them to die of starvation or dehydration or diseases that prey upon the weak?

And what if he sat back and never lifted a finger to do anything about it?

And what if, given all that, he demanded that I worship him in order to win the prize of getting to live with him forever?

Where would I go with that? I can tell you where I wouldn't go. I wouldn't spend substantial time and effort making up stories to excuse his behavior. That's what abused spouses and children do with an abusive spouse or parent. I wouldn't give him a nickel, let alone 10% of my income, attend weekly meetings to talk about how wonderful he is and how much he loves his children, dedicate all my time, talents and whatnot to him, or, most of all, worship him. And if I get a chance to ever actually speak with him, I'll hold him accountable for all the pain and suffering he inflicted on my siblings.

But, most importantly, if an assumption I made led me to conclude that I had no choice but to worship this creator, I'd step back and seriously reconsider my assumptions: specifically the assumption that a creator/God exists. Once I do that, I can understand that both this creator/God and the elaborate stories that attempt to justify his behavior are all products of the human brain doing what it does naturally.
