You might enjoy, as I did, his account of seeing and speaking with his newly-deceased mother while he was in a coma.

Which leads me to announce some good news and some bad news: With the surge in COVID-19 cases, more people will be having near-death experiences and out-of-body experiences. That’s the good news. The bad news is that, as hospitals become overburdened, as spouses and families and friends are forbidden from visiting grievously ill patients, as medical workers are increasingly overworked, and as those infected with the coronavirus die, there will be far fewer opportunities for accounts of such near-death experiences and out-of-body experiences to be shared.

Wow! Who in their right mind would actually be grateful for the suffering that COVID has caused, just in order to keep on beating this stupid drum about NDEs? Personally, I don't think it's a very good move to exploit this tragedy just to score an argumentative point, but that's just me.

If either Dr. Scratch or Gadianton had the Holy Spirit in their breasts, they would realize that this confirms Jesus loves us and will take care of us. This is what mopologists think behind the scenes, I am sure. He is giving NDE's to the world to confirm he is real! I mean what more could you possibly want, an actual visit? You skeptics! There shall be no sign given but the sign of absence to the unbelieving. For all others, they can feast on NDE proof.

You know Philo, you make a very good point. I hadn't thought about it that way, that God is giving us more proof. Thinking about it that way is so absurd, but it has to be in line with Mopologist thought. Supposing the "proof" is not pseudoscience, but revolutionary science that only the mind of faith can ascertain, then isn't that a waste of time since if you have a mind of faith, then you will believe in the afterlife anyway? I mean, why provide as evidence, something that requires an interpretive framework that itself is rejected as nonsense by the same people who reject the afterlife as nonsense?

Dang! I guess we got suckered, because just look at this update to Dr. Peterson's post:

Postscript: One unfortunate soul, reading my comment above about “some good news and some bad news,” has apparently required smelling salts, medication, and trauma counseling at what I had thought was absolutely transparent irony. I think it pretty obvious, given my repeated endorsements of masks, social distancing, and taking COVID-19 very seriously, that I don’t actually favor more COVID-19 cases and an increased number of coronavirus-induced near-death experiences. That my faux-cheery hailing of an increase in NDEs if we continue to treat the pandemic casually was a way of making my point once more: Wear a mask. Don’t congregate in large groups. Keep your distance. Take this disease seriously. Oh well. As the saying goes, it’s impossible to make anything absolutely foolproof, because fools are so ingenious.

Oh, right--ha ha ha! Remember: in the same breath, he also provided a link to the story about Stan Ellsworth, the BYUtv star and COVID survivor. So, I guess this was all part of "SeN"'s "faux-cheery" ruse, meant to convince everyone to wear a mask? I.e., "Ha ha ha! What a funny story, Brother Ellsworth! If only you had worn a mask, maybe you wouldn't have had to experience your stupid NDE!"

It may be best here to just apologize and delete the post, in my opinion.
