New Reality TV: Survivor Covid-2020

Post by _MeDotOrg »

It's the old Survivor show, but with a twist: Everyone is divided up into tribes based upon religion and science. So the science tribes (The Logos) wear masks. The religious tribes (The Mythos) get to use whatever amulet they would like, for example a Cross for Christians.

Each group sets up its own community, but there is a central point on the island that each tribe must visit for supplies. Supplies for each settlement are sent by the followers of that tribe in the real world to the central point. Therefore it is possible that supplies from one area might infect the supplies from another area.

Getting 'kicked off the island' simply means you go back to the mainland for hospitalization, if necessary.

I'm not sure how long the show's legs would be. Give it 13 episodes on Netflix.

God help us if we believe that this show will have any bearing on reality.

Agreed. The show would have as much relationship to reality as the original Survivor. But after 6 months of watching states compete for medical supplies with the Federal Government's thumb pressing the scales, reality begins to feel like The Hunger Games.
