I shouldn't say people bugging you on this forum is the only reason. As you've hinted at, it makes for a good show for your employees. No, the races does not "continue." This was a special election to fill a vacant seat. The election is over and Palin lost.

But there is a new general election in November, in which Palin can try again if she chooses.

Alaska chose rank choice voting. It's no more "subject to manipulation" than any other kind of voting. If you think breaking the stranglehold of the two major political parties in the U.S. would be a good thing, rank choice voting can do that. It also reduces that ability to game the vote by running fake candidates to try and split the other party's votes.
